Behind the Course - Subject Matter Experts

Behind the Course - Subject Matter Experts Behind the Course Subject Matter Experts For over 15 years, 360Training has helped over 4 million students learn new skills, begin careers, and meet regulatory requirements in their respective field. None of this would be possible without one of our most important groups: subject matter experts (SMEs). SMEs provide the knowledge and course direction that make our courses easy to understand and engaging. Get to know them with our new interview series: Behind the Course â€" Subject Matter Experts. Peggy Santmyer Work Experience with 360Training “The very first book I wrote was the Texas Promulgated Forms book and self-published it.   It was later revised into an on-line course and is still used by 360 training” says Peggy.   Since then she has written and revised many real estate classes for a variety of training companies as a consultant.   She has written or revised most of the 360 on-line pre-licensing classes for real estate.   Most recently Peggy has created our 30-hour brokerage course. Background “I moved to Texas in 1967 with my husband when he left the military.   In 1969, I received a real estate sales license, and then in 1971 a broker’s license.” Peggy continues “Texas real estate law fascinated me, especially the homestead laws. Eventually I started teaching real estate classes more and more and eventually moved into teaching and writing real estate material.   In 2009, I was named Instructor of the Year by the Texas Association of REALTORS ®.   In 2012, I stopped teaching and started writing.     I still find real estate laws fascinating” she said. What is it about working with 360Training.com that you enjoy? When asked, the answer came quick. “At 360, they have a great group of people to work with. I like their attitude that really shows they want to do the best for the students” say Peggy. “My passion has always been to help agents understand and have respect for the laws they are so impacted by.   Most agents want to do the right thing.   Some of them just need help knowing what the right thing is.   Being involved in teaching and writing, I have always felt a responsibility to help agents stay out of trouble and make money. 360 let’s me do that” she said. What is your greatest talent? “I like to think I have a talent for putting things in very simple language that agents or “agents to be” can understand” she said. About Peggy In addition to being a broker for over 48 years, Peggy Santmyer is the owner of Real Estate Classes from Home, offering pre and post licensing courses for real estate. She also is a self-employed instructor, author, and consultant under the name Peggys Real Estate Education. To take a course that she created online for 360Training.com, click here!
